After Abby's fabulous soccer game, we came home and prepared for the big party. The plans were pretty simple… gather at the house, have cake and ice cream, head out to the movies to see "Igor." She was so excited to have two girls from school make it. One, also named Abby, was in her Kindergarten class last year. My Abby asked all summer to get together with the other Abby, but we didn't have their contact information. Fortunately we ran into her mom at Open House a few weeks ago, we exchanged email and phone numbers, and Viola! Abby is coming to the birthday party! The other girl coming from school, Emily, is a little girl who moved here just last month – so Abby can relate to that. She is in Abby's class this year and also goes to the same place for after-school care. They have become very good friends in a short while, so we were so happy to have her join us, too. Two other girls from the neighborhood joined us, along with Miss Peyton – and the party was complete!
Once everyone arrived, we dove into the pretty little Tinker Bell cake – YUM! (the cake and the cupcakes were definitely a downfall for me this weekend!) Here are a few pictures…

Here they are at the movies. For the record, this movie was NOT good… Marcus and I could not wait for it to be over. But thankfully, the girls all seemed to enjoy it!

And that was our day. After the movie we headed back to the house and met up with the moms. Lots of fun – Abby loved all of her gifts and she had lots of fun with her guests. And I'm glad… it was a long day with the soccer games, snacks, parties, etc. But my big seven-year-old was happy… and whenever I can make my girls happy, well, that's about all that matters!
The Tinkerbell cake turned out adorable despite the incident. Where did the soccer "cake" of cupcakes come from. That was also really cute! Good idea for end of the season soccer party.
